Online Lead: RRP Training Now Available

The Oregon Home Builders Association, with funding through a grant from NAHB’s State & Local Issues Fund and working with the National Center for Healthy Housing, is one organization that has developed an EPA-approved online training course that can substitute for the lecture portion of the required certified renovator training. Once completed, remodelers and contractors will still be required to complete the hands-on portion of their training (first hands on only class to be held at HBA June 18th) and to take the EPA certification test.

This online course will effectively reduce required classroom time from eight hours to about three and should enable more contractors to take the necessary training.

Remodelers can preview course and enrollment information at www.homebuildersuniversity.com. Additional information is also available at the Oregon HBA Web site, www.oregonhba.com.

  1. I personally am excited about these changes. It’s nice to know that we, collectively, are figuring out how to integrate with the modern “web” world.
