On July 16, the Remodelers Council celebrated its 10th Anniversary at Pental Marble and Granite. Festivities included Buster’s Barbeque, a gallery of photos from past events, speeches from past Remodelers Council Chairmen David Ewing, Lee Zajic, and Tracy Hankins and cupcakes for all.

HBA President Mike Arnett congratulated the Remodelers Council on its achievements over the past decade.

“With contributions from remodelers, subcontractors and suppliers, the Remodelers Council demonstrates that professionals with passion can achieve impressive results,” said Arnett. “The whole association appreciates your enthusiasm and your support of the building industry. We thank you for your vision and leadership, we congratulate you for 10 years of great work, and we look forward to another decade of success.”

The Remodelers Council was formed in 1998. In the last ten years, the HBAMP’s Remodelers Council has grown to be the third largest council in the nation. It has also been recognized on the national level for its energy, commitment to the industry, community service projects and government affairs efforts.

The Council Award for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADRE) is the highest national award a local council can receive. The HBAMP’s Council has won ten of these prestigious awards to date.

Member Highlight: Pental Granite and Marble

July 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Pental Granite and Marble is the Northwest’s premiere source for tile and stone.  Founded in 1999 by two brothers with a single container of granite slabs, the company is now the largest importer and distributor in the region.  Pental carries many varieties of natural stone tile and slabs and has hundreds of different stone options in stock to select from.  While the selection has grown considerably in the last nine years, quality has consistently been high.  Owner Peter Pental travels the world to personally hand select the highest caliber materials.

In addition to natural stone, an extensive selection of porcelain, glass, metal, and terrazzo is available.  Pental’s Ecoline highlights sustainable tile and slab options.  From locally made recycled bronze tiles to architectural salvage glass repurposed into beautiful terrazzo slabs, Ecoline features the most cutting edge green products.

Pental only sells direct to the trade, but their showrooms are open to the public and materials are available through their network of dealers.  For more product information, visit www.pentalonline.com or drop in at any of their three showroom and warehouse locations in Seattle, Fife and Portland.
